Prescription process
- The website states: "A valid prescription and delivery address may be emailed to care@mararapharm.co.za or safely uploaded by following the link."
- A WhatsApp self-service line (send "Hi" to 010 101 3563) can be used to upload and track prescriptions.
- For some medicine schedules an original prescription is needed; the site says "our pharmacist will advise you on the process to either post the prescription or arrange a collection".
- No online doctor consultation is offered on the pages we checked.
Delivery
- The site states that it delivers "nationwide" to your home, work or doctor's rooms. "Dependant on your location, you should receive your medication within 3 - 4 days from us receiving your prescription."
- Deliveries run Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, with none on weekends or public holidays. Bonitas members are told delivery comes "at no extra cost"; the fee for other patients is not stated on the pages we checked.
- The home page says medication is packed "with care and consideration for temperature-sensitive medications", but does not describe ice packs or cold boxes.
Returns and refunds
- The returns policy states that medicine or devices will not be accepted back "unless there is a defect in the packaging at the time of supply, or if an incorrect medicine or device has been dispensed."
- Other items may be returned within 14 days in their original packaging, with collection at the customer's cost.
