Prescription process
- Email your prescription and contact details to mrx@medipost.co.za, call 012 426 4000 or 087 098 0426, send it by WhatsApp to 012 426 4655, or upload it through the online Script Service.
- "A friendly pharmacist will contact you to confirm your delivery date and delivery address."
- An original script is required only for Schedule 6 and 7 medicine; semaglutide is Schedule 4.
- No online doctor consultation is offered on the pages we checked.
Delivery
- Prescription medication is "delivered free of charge" to an address of your choice; collection points are also available.
- "Delivery is within 2 working days after an order has been placed"; parcels dispatched Friday to Sunday are delivered on Tuesday.
- Fridge-line parcels are dispatched at 17H00, marked "Refrigerated and Fragile" and sent with ice packs "to maintain the correct storage conditions".
Returns and refunds
- "In line with Good Pharmacy Practice regulations, medication may not be returned for credit." The pharmacist on duty can discuss medication returns.
- Online shop orders can be returned only if the products do not match the order, reported within 2 working days.

Yes. The site footer gives Medipost Pharmacy Gezina as Y54773, which the register lists as Medipost Pharmacy - Gezina in Gauteng. Its status is Active, with an A grade from its inspection on 8 November 2024. The footer also gives Medipost Pharmacy Parow as Y59335.
Does Medipost publish semaglutide prices?
No. When we checked, the Medipost online shop returned no products for Ozempic, Wegovy or semaglutide, and prescription medicine is dispensed only through the script channel. The table on this page shows the SEP and the approximate maximum price for the 11 semaglutide packs with a published SEP; a pharmacy price including the dispensing fee should fall within that range.
Does Medipost say how semaglutide is kept cold during delivery?
Yes. The FAQ states that parcels with fridge-line items are packaged and dispatched at 17H00 each day, marked "Refrigerated and Fragile" and sent with ice packs to maintain the correct storage conditions.
